The procession was due to leave the town centre today (Saturday) at 6pm and the display was planned for 7.30pm in Cantley Field.
The event will now take place on Sunday, November 9. All times remain the same.
Thousands were expected to turn up for the annual event - organised for the first time this year by the Wokingham Firework Society.
The theme for 2014 is the First World War and all proceeds are donated to charity.
