Firefighters were called to the scene in Binfield Road, near the Keep Hatch estate, at about 11am.

The female, who was driving a black Mercedes A180, had careered into a ditch and had become trapped in the car.

Firefighters cut off both the doors and raised the roof so the woman could be safely removed.

Paramedics treated her at the scene before taking her to Royal Berkshire Hospital, after she sustained head and facial injuries.

Both crews left the scene at about 12.45pm.
