Taking place on Saturday May 31, Wokingham Town Council’s 'cultural month’ will culminate in a free street concert, named the Pauly Zarb International Street Concert.

Featuring acts from as far away as Australia, local performer Mr Zarb has organised the concert in partnership with Wokingham Town Council outside the Town Hall in Market Street.

Starting at 6.30pm, people are encouraged to bring deck chairs to enjoy an evening of free music.

Confirmed artists are Antsy Maclain and the Trailer Park Troubadours, Troy Anderson and The Wonderful World Band, The Australian Troubadours and Pauly Zarb himself.

The day will also celebrate the 20th anniversary of Rossini’s restaurant, in Denmark Street, with Maurizio Vajana, from Rossini’s adding: “We are delighted to be working with Wokingham Town Council to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Rossini’s.”

Road closures in place will be Denmark Street and Market Place from 6am on Saturday May 31 until 6am Sunday June 1.

The alternative route for all vehicles affected by this shall be via Broad Street, Shute End, Station Road and Wellington Road. Access to the Denmark Street Car Park will be maintained via the southern entrance of Denmark Street only.
