MILLION-SELLING music superstars Toploader will take the stage in Wokingham on Friday as they headline the Under The Sky concerts.

The band, most famous for their smash hit Dancing In The Moonlight, are one of four pop or rock acts performing at Elms Field that night.

Saturday's theme is a Night With The Classics, and will feature the Slough Philharmonic Orchestra and The Thames Valley Chorus.

The entertainment on Sunday is provided by The Laurie Holloway Trio featuring Kenny Lynch, and MillsTones Dance Band.

Toploader have sold more than two million albums and were the final act to perform at the old Wembley Stadium. They have played at Glastonbury and shared a stage with world-renowned artists including Coldplay, Robbie Williams and Bon Jovi.

Joseph Washbourn, lead singer of Toploader, said the band cannot wait to play on Elms Field.

He said: "It's amazing to be at a new festival. Hopefully people will come out and share it with us and lots of other bands. To be playing in Wokingham is great for us." The event is being organised by Stan Hetherington and Richard Parkes, who hope to match the success of last year's classical concert at Elms Field that celebrated the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.

Mr Parkes said: "It's awesome to have Toploader and it will be great for the community. Ticket sales are going well and we hope it will be the start of things to come." Performing alongside Toploader on the opening night are Reading-based Amys Ghost, who played at the Reading Festival in 2010. The other support acts are Lex Rose, who performed at the Isle of Wight festival earlier this month, and father and son duo The Groves.

As well as the music at the three-day festival, there will be a wide range of food and drink on offer ranging from cocktails to paella.

The Wokingham Lions club will run a fully licensed bar with proceeds going to the Alexander Divine Children's Hospice Service, which offers support to children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions.

Advance tickets cost 14.50 for adults or 7.50 for under 16s per night.

A discounted weekend ticket - which gives entry for all three shows - costs 35. Tickets can be bought at www.wegottickets.com/undertheskyconcerts or on the night, costing 18 for Friday or Saturday, 16.50 for Sunday.
