A NEW Free School has been given the go-ahead to help ease the pressure on school places in Wokingham.
Evendons Free School is to open in September 2014 - and will become the first primary Free School in the borough.
It is expected the school will open with two 25-pupil classes - catering for youngsters aged four to six - and parents hope it will open at the former White House School site.
Victoria Webb, part of the parents group which helped set up the school, said: "We're chuffed. We have worked so hard and it's a great achievement."
What do YOU think? Is this good news for school places in Wokingham?
