Wokingham Borough Council votes for 1.94% council tax rise

WOKINGHAM Borough Councillors tonight voted in favour of raising council tax by 1.94% for the next financial year.
The decision means residents in a typical band D property will pay £1,222.50 - a rise of 45p per week.
All of the Conservative-led council voted in favour of the change, while the eight Liberal Democrat councillors voted against the proposal.
