Teachers' strike: School closure list

MANY schools have confirmed they will be closed during the teaching unions' strikes on Thursday.

Members of the National Union of Teachers (NUT), the Association of Teachers and Lecturers (ATL) and the University and College Union will walk out in protest at changes to their pensions they say will leave them paying more for less in return.

School closure list:

Details of school closures in Bracknell Forest:

*THE FOLLOWING PRIMARY SCHOOLS WILL BE CLOSED:

Birch Hill; College Town Infant; Crown Wood; Fox Hill; Harmans Water Primary; Holly Spring Infant; New Scotland Hill; Owlsmoor; St Michael's C of E Sandhurst; Uplands.

*THE FOLLOWING PRIMARY SCHOOLS WILL BE PARTLY CLOSED:

The Pines will be open except for Year Two.

Winkfield St Mary's will be open for Years One and Five only.

Binfield C of E Primary School's classes RCR, 1LPC and 1MO, 2VD and 5JS will be closed.

At St Margaret Clitherow RC Primary, the Reception, Year Two and Year Four classes will be closed.

*THE FOLLOWING PRIMARY SCHOOLS WILL BE OPEN:

Ascot Heath C of E Junior; Ascot Heath Infant; College Town Junior; Cranbourne; Crowthorne; Great Hollands; Holly Spring Junior; Meadow Vale; Sandy Lane; St Joseph's; St Michael's C of E Easthampstead; Warfield; Whitegrove; Wildmoor Heath; Wildridings Primary; Wooden Hill Primary.

*THE FOLLOWING SECONDARY SCHOOLS WILL BE CLOSED:

Brakenhale; Easthampstead Park; Edgbarrow and Garth Hill College (its study support will still be available).

*THE FOLLOWING SECONDARY SCHOOLS WILL BE OPEN:

Ranelagh C of E; Sandhurst.

OTHER SCHOOLS:

Kennel Lane special school will be closed. College Hall pupil referral unit will be open.

Wokingham:

*THE FOLLOWING PRIMARY SCHOOLS WILL BE OPEN:

All Saints; Bearwood; Coombes; Emmbrook Infant; Emmbrook Junior; Finchampstead; Gorse Ride Infant; Gorse Ride Junior; Oaklands Junior; Wescott; Westende.

*THE FOLLOWING PRIMARY SCHOOLS WILL BE CLOSED:

Hatch Ride; Hawthorns; Nine Mile Ride; Walter; Winnersh.

*THE FOLLOWING PRIMARY SCHOOLS WILL BE PARTLY CLOSED:

Oaklands Infant; St Paul's; St Sebastian's; St Teresa's.

*THE FOLLOWING SECONDARY SCHOOLS WILL BE CLOSED:

Blumershe; Maiden Erlegh; Piggot; Waingels

*THE FOLLOWING SECONDARY SCHOOLS WILL BE PARTLY OPEN:

Emmbrook, the Forest, the Holt; St Crispins.

*OTHER SCHOOLS:

Addington special needs school will be partly open and Southfield school for pupils who have experienced emotional and behavioural difficulties will be open.

Foxwood pupil referral unit will be closed. The Vulnerable Children's Education Service will be running.

Royal Borough:

Charters Secondary School in Sunningdale will be open for Years 10 and 12 only.

Cheapside Primary School will be open for Key Stage One only.

Holy Trinity Primary School in Sunningdale will be open.

South Ascot Village School will be closed.

St Francis Primary School in Ascot has not yet confirmed its arrangements.

St Michael's Primary School in Sunninghill will be partly open.
