A PUBLIC exhibition of proposals for a new development in Finchampstead are due to go on show next week.

Legal & General Homes is inviting local residents to take part in its consultation for the land at Hogwood Farm.

Planning permission was granted for the development in 2017, and plans include a new primary school, neighbourhood centre, and significant areas of open space.

The first phase of the development would include 180 new homes, but permission has been granted for a total of 1,500 homes in the southern section of the Arborfield Garrison Strategic Development location (SDL).

John Allan, Managing Director at Legal & General Homes said: “Legal & General Homes is pleased to introduce ourselves as the developer of this new sustainable development in Finchampstead, which will not only play a key part in addressing the housing shortage in the local area, but also provide numerous community benefits to ensure we bring value to the community as a whole.”

“We are very much looking forward to meeting with the local community and hearing their views. This is an important part of our commitment to working closely with existing residents, landowners and the local authority to ensure that our proposals best meet the needs of new and existing residents.”

The public exhibition will take place on Wednesday, March 28 from 3pm to 7pm at Arborfield Green Community Centre.
