A CONSTRUCTION worker had to be released by fire crews after trapping his hand in a cement mixer.
Crews from Wokingham and Wokingham Road Fire Stations were called to the construction site in King Street Lane, Winnersh, at around midday today.
The man had trapped his hand in the machinery, and the crews used hydraulic rescue equipment to release him before handing him over to paramedics.
The construction worker was then taken to hospital by ambulance.
The air ambulance also attended, but was not needed.
