A MAJOR road in Woosehill is set to be partially closed from next week while a water company assesses its pipe network.
From Monday, March 19, South East Water will be carrying out exploratory work in Woosehill Spine Road, so a lane closure will be in place near Sirius Close until Friday, March 23.
Then, from Monday, March 26, traffic lights will be in place between Heron Road and Dorset Way until Thursday, March 28.
Finally, traffic control signs will be in place along Heron Road between Tuesday, April 3 and Thursday, April 5.
A spokesperson for the company said: “This work is necessary to improve the capacity of the network and ensure we can continue to maintain water pressure to the area.
“We may need to return to the area to lay a new water main but we will keep the local community updated.”
