WOKINGHAM’S branch of Prezzo will close down, after the Italian restaurant chain announced they were cutting back.

The branches in Wokingham town centre and Woodley town are both set to close.

Prezzo is currently in a company voluntary arrangement, whereby the debts of the company are put on hold while a buyer is sought.

This is the last step before going into administration for the chain.

It is believed that more than 1,000 jobs will be lost across the country, as 94 restaurants will be closed, along with every Chimichanga restaurant across the country.

The news follows the move from creditors to save the Byron Burger chain, saving the branch in Camberley in the process.
