DETAILS have been released ahead of this year’s half marathon.
The Wokingham half marathon will take place on February 18 through the town.
It is a popular course among distance runners due to the flat nature of the track.
The 32nd annual race is already attracting a high level of interest amongst running clubs, with nearly half of the entries so far coming from local clubs.
The race is officially the Berkshire Half Marathon Championship, and many clubs also use the race as their own championship race.
It is not just for experienced distance runners, as anyone can get involved, and the race acts as a perfect opportunity to get rid of the effects of overindulgence at Christmas.
The race ios sponsored by David Cliff Estate Agents and Wilmoths Citroen, and with six weeks to go the race is limited to 3,000 runners, so anyone interested is advised to apply sooner rather than later.
