RESIDENTS got into the festive spirit at the annual Winter Carnival.
Thousands joined with festive fun- and even Santa himself made an appearance.
The carnival was free to attend, with charities and local businesses pitching up stalls and tombolas.
More than 100 stalls selling food, drink, crafts and charity fundraisers were set up.
The carnival was well attended despite the regeneration works.
