A MAN has been charged with murder after another man is believed to have been stabbed to death.

Anthony Wheaton, 24, of Dart Close, has been charged with one count of murder.

He appeared at Reading Magistrates' Court this morning and is due to enter a plea at Reading Crown Court tomorrow. 

Thames Valley Police officers went to a property on Dart Close in Finchampstead at 11.15pm on Friday November 24 after reports of a stabbing.

An ambulance crew treated a 29 year-old man at the site. 

The man died in the early hours of Saturday morning (November 25).

Yesterday, officers arrested a 24 year-old man from Finchampstead in connection with the incident.  

There will be a heightened police presence in the area as a result of the incident as the investigation continues.

Wheaton has been remanded in custody to appear at Magistrates Court tomorrow morning (November 27).
