A DRIVE-THRU Costa Coffee will be built alongside a new Premier Inn hotel in Winnersh.
Plans were approved by Wokingham Borough Council for a new 102-room Premier Inn hotel with a drive-thru Costa Coffee.
The Premier Inn will be built just walking distance away from two existing hotels on the other side of Winnersh Triangle station.
Travelodge and Holiday Inn are both located within a mile, meaning there will now be three hotels in short proximity of each other.
The development will come with associated parking, and will back onto the train station.
In the current site, there is a disused building, which used to be used for scientific developments, but has been on the market for several years.
This building will be demolished to make way for the new development, and now plans have been approved this could start shortly.
The hotel will be a walking distance away from Showcase Cinema, which also holds a Costa Coffee inside, meaning there will be two of the same chain in the space of a kilometre.
Two councillors expressed a personal interest in these plans, but they were approved regardless with conditions.
