CARE HOME staff and residents put their dancing shoes on for a 1950's themed party.
The members of RMBI Home Lord Harris Court in Wokingham turned back the clocks for the party which involved a themed food menu, skipping and hula hoop competition and music from a local entertainer.
The party on September 6 featured staff and residents dressing up for the occasion, and conversation about what life was like in the era.
Activities Coordinator Hannah Lawrence said: “We’re always keen to put on events that help our residents to recall memories, especially for our residents living with dementia.
"It brings a sense of familiarity and many residents have fond stories from this era and its culture from the clothes they wore, to the food they ate and music they listened to.
"It was wonderful to help recreate this environment and bring everyone together to celebrate this period of time.”
