WOKINGHAM'S newest wine bar is set to open later this month, with construction work well on its way.
'Bar Fifty Six', which begins trading at the end of September, used to be traditional pub 'The Met', but was taken over by the owners of The Redan earlier in the year.
James Harris, co-owner of the bar, gave an update on the progress of the bar.
He said: "The Development is going great, almost too great, there's been very minimal set backs so far.
"Although being nervous, its a very exciting time and hope everyone will love what we have done to the place.
"We should have all the staff trained and ready to open week commencing the September 18."
The bar takes its name from the fact there will be 56 different wines and champagnes available at the bar.
It will also offer up cheese and cooked meats alongside the wine.
