A BLIND man was robbed in the centre of Wokingham town last week.

At around 1pm on April 8, the elderly victim was leaving Waitrose on Rectory Road when he had his wallet stolen from his pocket.

Now police want to speak to a man captured on CCTV.

Investigating officer Police Constable Sophie Smith said: “We are asking for anyone who recognises the man in the images to contact us as a matter of urgency.

“We believe the victim was specifically targeted due to his vulnerability. We are concerned that other vulnerable people may also become targets.”

Anyone who recognises the man or who witnessed the incident last month is asked to contact Thames Valley Police on 101 quoting 43170102403.
