THE owners of jewellery recovered from an abandoned vehicle are being urged to come forward as it may help snare a gang of thieves.
On Thursday, January 26 police found a deserted blue BMS 3 Series estate in Windsor and, after searching the car recovered three items of Asian gold jewellery.
Case investigator, Kate Devonshire, said their intelligence suggests the jewels could have been taken by a gang operating across the county lines along the M4 and M40 corridor and west London.
“If you have been a victim of a burglary and think this jewellery is yours we would ask you to contact us as you might have vital information that could assist us in our investigation,” she said.
She added the items could have been stolen from a house in the east of the Thames Valley, West London or Birmingham.
Thames Valley Police officers were searching for the vehicle as it had been the subject of a burglary in Wokingham on January 13.
Anyone with information should call 101.
