A FATHER and son who joined forces to deal drugs around Wokingham have been sentenced and forced to hand over thousands of pounds in cash and drugs to police.

Neale and David Connor have each been sentenced after a raid at their home in Bean Oak Road in 2014 uncovered £6,600 worth of the party drug MKAT, also known as Methodrome.

A police investigation found Neale Connor, aged 52, and his son David, 30, were a team supplying the drug to users.

Investigating officer, PC Marcus Burrows of Local CID, based at Loddon Valley police station, said: “I’m pleased that these men have been convicted and hope it sends a clear message out to other individuals who think it is ok to sell drugs, we will not tolerate the supply of drugs in our communities and we will continue to work hard to identify those involved in this harmful activity and put them before the courts.”

Neale Connor was sentenced to 12 months’ imprisonment suspended for 18 months after being convicted by a unanimous jury on October 7, 2016 of being concerned in supplying controlled drug Class B - Methylmethcathinone.

He forfeited £3,000 in cash and drugs paraphernalia, and was ordered to pay a £100 surcharge, as well as undertake 150 hours community service.

His son David Connor was sentenced to a total of 16 months’ imprisonment after he admitted one count of being concerned in supplying class B drug, and one count of being concerned in supplying class A drugs.
