MUSICAL military wives from Arborfield and overseas are set to release a third album ahead of Christmas.

The choirs from across the globe, including Arborfield Garrison, have been in the recording studio ahead of the festive release, on November 21.

The album will coincide with a cathedral tour and though not all the Arborfield ladies can take part, the rest will come see them in concert at Winchester Cathedral.

Isobel Bowman, choir lead, said: "The day recording was amazing. We learnt so much and recorded two songs. One being the title track 'Home For Christmas' which so far has been sang and recorded by 945 people across 45 choirs nationally and abroad and 'In the Bleak Mid Winter' which just choirs from the south have recorded.

"For us personally, what a way to end an amazing year which has seen us sing with Lulu, go to New York and sing in Carnegie Hall and two ladies went along to sing in Cardiff as part of the Welsh proms."

Anyone with any military link, past or present, who enjoys singing, can join the choir and anyone interested in booking the military wives can email arborfield@militarywiveschoirs.org
