A QUICK-THINKING homeowner used his hose to help stop the spread of a fire threatening his home.
Wokingham's fire crew were called to Linnet Walk in Wokingham just after midday.
Firefighter Jamie Fitzpatrick said: "We got a call to a shed fire at approximately 12.14 this afternoon.
"We were further updated it was threatening a house but thanks to our quick reaction time and the home owner using a garden hose reel we were able to prevent the fire from spreading."
The crew were joined by a fire engine from Wokingham Road and they used two hose reels to extinguish the blaze.
The shed was destroyed and a fence partially damaged.
