POLICE are on the hunt for a man who exposed himself to a ten-year-old boy in Wokingham yesterday. 

The victim was in a wooded area behind Camellia Way and Foxglove Close when he was approached by the man on a pathway between 6pm and 7pm on Tuesday evening (June 14).

The man, around 5ft 10ins, started a conversation with the boy before exposing himself and making sexual comments.

Schools have been warned about the man and more police have been assigned to the area as a precaution. 

Investigating officer, Det Con Amy Hickman-Holden from Force CID at Reading police station, said: “The victim is being supported by specially trained officers and a thorough investigation is underway.

“Officers are making enquiries in the area and have spoken to local schools so that they can inform parents about what has happened and give appropriate advice. There is an increased police presence in the area and I would urge anyone who has any concerns to speak to officers in the neighbourhood or call 10.

“I would like to speak to anyone who has any information about the incident – whether you saw a man matching this description in the area or witnessed the incident, or have any other information which could help with our investigation."

The offender is white with a slight tan, medium build, with brown hair that was across his face but shorter at the back. He also had a brown beard and moustache. He spoke with a lisp.

He was wearing a brown coloured jumper with a hood, lighter brown trousers with lines on and black shoes. He was carrying a Tesco carrier bag.
