The festive Wokingham carnival rolled into Market Place on Sunday, November 29.
The team behind the carnival wanted to bring out the 'Best of British' at this year's event, with groups dressing up in costume to take part in the parade through the town's bustling streets before the lights were switched on at Market Place.
Mini Mayor George Bradley from Hawthorne Primary switched on the lights for Wokingham at the event which organiser Dave Donaldson was 'fantastic'.
He said: "The number of people just kept swelling and swelling throughout the afternoon, it was such a great day, better than we could have hoped after the weather forecasts.
"Everyone just really enjoyed themselves. I want to thank the amazing team who organised it too, everyone worked very hard to make it one of the best carnivals yet."
He added: "Christmas is finally here."
