A CYCLIST has died in a well used mountain bike area in Crowthorne.

Crews from the South Central Ambulance Service were called to the scene near the discovery centre, Swinley Forest, along with a team from South East Coast Ambulance at around 4pm on Saturday, July 25.

The crews were responding to reports that a man had come off his bike. He then died at the scene.

A South Central Ambulance Service spokesman said: "We were called at 15.57 on Saturday following reports of an adult man who came off his bike at the Discovery Centre near Swinley Forest.

"We sent an ambulance and response vehicle and we also worked with the South East Coast Ambulance who also sent an ambulance and a helicopter.

"We worked together to assess the man but unfortunately he was pronounced dead at the scene.

"His next of kin have been informed."

The death of the cyclist, whose name is yet to be released, is not being treated as suspicious.
