MORE than 11 people, one as young as 13, have been arrested after early morning raids across Winnersh this morning.

Three homes on Rainbow Park in Winnersh and one on Bayley Court, also in Winnersh, were targeted in the 6am raid as police seized mobile phones, cash and suspected class B drugs from the properties.

Two boys aged just 13 and 14 were amongst those arrested. The boys, both from Winnersh, were arrested at the Bayley Court property along with a 43-year-old woman and an 18-year-old man, also from Winnersh. They were all arrested on suspicion of a possession with intent to supply a class B drug.

At one property on Rainbow Park three men, all from Winnersh, were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a class B drug. They are 28, 20 and 24 years old.

At a second home on the same road a 27-year-old woman from Winnersh, a 35-year-old man from Wokingham and two 25-year-old men from Wokingham were arrested for suspicion of possession with intent to supply a class B drug.

All of those arrested are currently in police custody.

At the third property on Rainbow Park a 21-year-old man reported for summons for possession of cannabis. He was reported on suspicion of possession of a class B drug.

Ch Insp Rob France said: “Eleven people have been arrested as part of Operation Octagon today and quantities of drugs and money were seized from properties in the area.

“This was an intelligence-led operation to target the supply of class B drugs, such as cannabis and MCAT in Wokingham.

Wokingham is a low-crime area however Thames Valley Police is committed to protecting our communities from the harm caused by the serious offence of drugs supply."
