Children can have a cracking time in Bracknell town centre at a series of free craft workshops in Princess Square on Good Friday, Easter Saturday and Easter Monday, organised by Bracknell Regeneration Partnership (BRP).

A different craft will be available to try each day, including decorating and packaging chocolate Easter eggs, also decorating ceramic Easter baskets and spring plant pots using materials such as stickers, ribbons, colouring pens and glitter.

Later on in the month, during the Easter holidays, the BRP will be hosting more craft sessions to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Alice in Wonderland.

The free sessions, in Princess Square between Tuesday, April 14, and Friday, April 17, will see youngsters decorating Alice bands, Mad Hatter top hats, customising ‘drink me’ bottles from the book, decorating cupcakes with edible playing cards or tea cups and saucers.

Alongside the workshops, there will be an Alice in Wonderland treasure hunt for children aged four to 11 in Princess Square, which will give them 12 items to hunt for in the shopping mall.

Rob Morris, general manager for BRP, said, “These activities throughout the Easter holidays are designed to bring some fun to the town centre and also give parents some free activities to do with their children whilst also supporting the town centre.

“We would encourage everyone to come into the town centre, get involved and do some shopping with our retailers.” Boredom busters: - The Sanctuary Barn & Café in Binfield will also host a number of events, including an Easter treasure hunt and crafts, as well as a competition for youngsters with the best decorated Easter bonnets.

- The activities will be going on all day from 9am-4pm, with the judging for the Easter bonnet competition taking place at 2pm.

- Facebook community group People Help The People will be hosting an Easter party at Priestwood community centre on April 12, from 3pm to 5pm.

- Berkshire Search & Rescue Dogs will host an Easter treasure hunt on Saturday at Lily Hill Park, while there will also be a fun agility course for visitors with dogs. Tickets are £4.50 or £5 on the day, while under fives and dogs go free. It is on from 11am to 3pm.

- An Easter Egg hunt for children up to the age of 14 will take place on Easter Sunday at 3pm at the play area at the top of The Junipers in Barkham. The cost is 50p per child.

- Quirks Animal Roadshow will visit Winnersh Library on Thursday, April 9, from 3pm to 4pm, where youngsters will be taken on a journey through different animal’s habitats. For families with children aged four to12 and costs £3.50 per child.

- Children aged six or over can make friendship or charm bracelets at Wokingham Library on Wednesday, April 8, from 10am to 11.30am. It costs £2 per item to make.
