The telephone survey of 1,800 people is being carried out by a private firm commissioned by Bracknell Forest Council.

It started on Monday and lasts for six weeks.

The questions are being asked by researchers employed by the independent company QaResearch and results will be published in the new year.

The survey will be backed by feedback from a survey collated in 2012 but this time the survey will be conducted by telephone rather than by postal questionnaires.

Topics will include the borough’s schools, libraries, parks, waste collections and social care.

Responses will be treated with strict confidentiality.

Cllr Paul Bettison, leader of Bracknell Forest Council, said: “I’d very much like to encourage residents to take part in the survey.

“Answers will help shape and refine our services.

“Phone interviews will be invaluable because they will have detail that will help us understand residents’ comments.”
