Crews from Bracknell Fire Station spent six hours on Saturday cleaning more than 200 cars to raise cash for good causes.

Bracknell’s crew manager Scott Pay said: “Despite the showers throughout the day we kept our spirits up.

“The sun came out in the afternoon and we had a steady flow of cars throughout the day. It was quite busy and it was a good day all round.

“It was hard work but we enjoyed ourselves and more importantly it’s all for a good cause.” The day raised more than £700 through donations, which will be split between charities The Firefighters Charity and Breakthrough Breast Cancer.
