Lights went out, candles were lit, and the memories of familes who had lost loved ones were rekindled so that present and future generations would not forget the ultimate sacrifice of almost a million heroes.
Royal British Legion’s (RBL) initiative was observed in public buildings, homes and offices for one hour from 10-11pm.
South Hill Park hosted a special event, featuring live music and images schoolchildren’s artwork being beamed onto the arts centre building.
Sandhurst and District Corps of Drums led a candlelit service at Memorial Park, Sandhurst at 9pm.
