However, two-way temporary traffic lights are in place in Ringmead between Cottesmore and Claverdon to control traffic while South East Water repair the pipe.

The burst water main flooded seven homes and left many people trapped inside their homes as water gushed down the roads, flooding them.

Steve Benton, distribution manager at South East Water, said: “We experienced a burst on a 16 inch water main yesterday in the Bracknell area.

"The damaged section of the pipe was isolated and water was rerouted from other parts of our network to restore supplies to affected customers.

“Our teams worked hard to repair the burst and all work was completed yesterday evening. We continue to work closely with our flood recovery teams as they assist the customers whose houses were affected by the burst water main.

“We would like to thank our customers for their patience while we carried out the repairs.”
