THE family of a man who died following a motorway collision has paid tribute to a 'devoted son, brother and husband'.

Jeronimo Inacio Sá Fernandes from central Reading, died after his car crashed into the central reservation of the M4 between junctions 8/9 and 10 on Saturday at 8.08pm, before careering into a grove of trees.

As the car went back onto the carriageway, it collided with a silver Volkswagen Passat and left the road, crashing into a grove of trees.

The 32-year-old, known by family, friends and colleagues as Nino, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A statement from the family said: “Jeronimo Inacio Sá Fernandes of central Reading, lovingly known by family, friends and colleagues as Nino, passed away prematurely, aged 32, in a motorway accident on 25 January 2014.

“This devoted loving son, brother and husband is being extremely sadly missed by all whose heart has been touched by him.”

Anyone who witnessed the collision should contact PC Dave Morgan on 101, quoting URN 1776 of 25/01/2014.
