A WOMAN was cut free from a car after it skidded off the road and into a ditch near the Bird Hills Golf Centre this morning (Sunday).
Firefighters from Bracknell and Maidenhead were alerted at around 10am that a dark red Peugeot had skidded on some ice and into a ditch beside Drift Road.
While the male passenger managed to escape a woman, believed to be in her sixties, was trapped in the driver's seat and firefighters had to cut the roof off to free her.
The pair were taken to hospital and treated for neck injuries and motorists are being warned to be careful when driving in icy conditions.
