The man, in his mid-40s, was removed from his Land Rover after it collided with a tractor trailer in Drift Road, Winkfield.
Two fire crews attended the scene at 9.30am - one from Slough and one from Windsor - and cut the steering wheel out of the car to free the man.
Firefighters assisted paramedics in getting the man out before he was taken to hospital in an ambulance.
The man is believed to have sustained cuts and bruises and was taken to hospital as a precaution.
The Land Rover was written off and a dog inside the car was also injured in the incident, sustaining a cut to his nose.
The trailer had broken down and the Land Rover driver could not see it as he came round a bend and crashed into the back of it.
