The association - which promotes better living and working in the countryside - will be joined by biomass boiler installation company Treco and photovoltaic (PA) solar panel specialists Bright Spark Solar employees on its stand (G140) this Saturday.
CLA agricultural adviser Ed Barker will discuss the Government’s new strategy, which asks how the UK can feed its growing population without damaging the natural environment.
On Sunday CLA conservation adviser Charlotte Lay will discuss a range of environmental issues, and the theme has been chosen due to concern over climate change, energy security and rising gas and oil prices.
CLA renewable and climate change adviser Tom Beeley, who will man the stand, said: “Renewable technologies are well suited to rural and remote areas which often have higher than average energy costs.
“The Feed in Tariff scheme has enabled many homes and businesses to generate their own electricity, with PV having proved to be a particularly versatile technology.
“The Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) is also proving successful, with many of our members having already taken the opportunity to reduce their heating costs and environmental impact.”
