AN 86-YEAR-OLD pedestrian has been airlifted to hospital with "serious and potentially life-threatening injuries" after he was involved in a collision with a car.
Police and the air ambulance were called to Ringmead at about 12.30pm today following the incident, which involved a Toyota Corolla.
The road has been closed between its junctions with Waverley and Viking. Parents of pupils at Easthampstead Park Community School are advised of the closure, which may still be in place later.
The man has been flown to the John Radcliffe Hospital, in Oxford.
