A family cycle ride takes place at Dinton Pastures Country Park, in Hurst, on August 31.
The ride is aimed at inexperienced cyclists and will be led by Wokingham borough council's trained ride leaders, at a gentle pace, so that no one gets left behind.
They are suitable for children aged eight years or over, who must be accompanied by an adult, and will be fairly short, easy routes, on quiet local roads.
The My Journey Wokingham Roadshow will also be on site offering free bike checks by a qualified mechanic, free bike security marking as well as giveaways and competitions.
The rides, which are being organised by Wokingham Borough Council, take place between 10am and noon.
Anyone wanting to book a free place on a family ride should contact Jill Bissell, cycle training coordinator, on (0118) 908 8208 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Jill Bissell, cycle training co-ordinator, said: "Through the family cycle rides we hope to encourage parents to try cycling with their children and rediscover the fun and freedom that cycling offers.
"We can also show them some local routes suitable for cyclists and give them tips on staying safe on the roads."
