CHEERS and laughter rang round a nursery as it was rated "outstanding" for the third consecutive time.
Oak Tree Day Nursery, in Nine Mile Ride, Finchampstead, received the news following an Ofsted inspection.
Manager Sarah Foster, who took over in January, said the news was met with tears and group hugging.
She said: "The inspector was smiling as she left because as each room got the news, the staff and children erupted with cheering and laughter."
She added she was particularly pleased the nursery's support for working parents had been recognised.
The inspector noted children, including those with special physical and learning needs, were given an excellent range of activities, while staff support and learning were described as outstanding. Only about 12% of Early Years Providers in England achieve the top 'outstanding' rating.
The inspection report said: "The key person for one child with physical needs, for example, is allowed to attend her physiotherapy appointments, so that she can learn at first hand the exercise regime the child needs to follow."
Relationships with parents were also noted as very effective and beneficial to each child with a detailed exchange of information at the beginning and end of each day.
Deputy Manager Chloe Purvey said the rating was down to hard work.
She said: "I think the staff really pick up on the kids interests and then really think about what they are doing for the children. We'll keep doing what we're doing but we'll also keep planning because there is always something you can do better."
The nursery, which is owned by Childbase Partnership, caters for youngsters from two months to five years old.
