A SUSPECTED hit and run van driver is being sought in connection with a crash which left a man being airlifted to hospital with serious head injuries.

Police are appealing for information about a large, white van and its driver which failed to stop at the scene of the smash on Nine Mile Ride, between the California cross roads and Queensmere roundabout, Wokingham on Tuesday, February 19.

The driver of a Grey Saab 93 was hit as he inspected the rear of his vehicle at the side of the road.

This vehicle failed to stop. A large white van was seen leaving the scene immediately after the collision heading towards the Queensmere roundabout in the direction of Bracknell.

The driver of the Saab suffered a serious head injury and was flown to the John Radcliffe Hospital for treatment. He has since been discharged from hospital.

Thames Valley Police are asking anyone with information to contact PC Christopher Hurst at Three Mile Cross police station, by calling 101.

To contact independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously, call 0800 555 111 or online at crimestoppers-uk.org.
