Wokingham residents call for more shops - not restaurants

RESIDENTS fed up with a lack of town centre shops say Wokingham is being overrun with eateries - with plans in place to turn the existing Lloyds Bank into another restaurant.

The Broad Street venue would become the 19th sit-down restaurant in the town centre - with nine takeaways, four coffee shops and nine pubs also offering food.
