THE number of children living in poverty in Bracknell Forest has risen by 3%.

Figures released by the Campaign to End Child Poverty yesterday (Wednesday) revealed that a staggering 14% of children across the borough are now living below the breadline, compared to 11% in interim figures released November 2012.

Great Hollands North is the worst affected area, with nearly a third (28%) of youngsters hit - a rise of 5% since the interim figures.

Statistics for Wokingham have also risen (7% to 9%), as have those for Windsor and Maidenhead (10% to 12%), which includes part of Ascot, Sunninghill and Sunningdale.
