Woman hospitalised following gas leak fire

A WOMAN in her 20s has been rushed to hospital after a fire broke out in her house following a gas leak.

She was being treated for burns following the incident, which took place at about 11.30am.

Firefighters from Bracknell and Wokingham fire stations, police and an ambulance were all called to the fire in Whatley Green, Easthampstead, which took place at about 11.30am this morning.

The firemen managed the blaze as they searched for the gas valve to stop the leak, and then extinguished the fire.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. Firefighters left the scene at about 2.30pm.
