UPDATE - schools and services close as snow hits

Heavy snow last night and this morning has led to a number of school closures and drivers are warned not to travel unless absolutely necessary.

The following schools are closed or are closing early today:

All Saints primary school, Wokingham - closing at 1pm.

Ascot Heath infants, Ascot - closed at midday.

Bracknell and Wokingham college (OPEN FOR EXAMS)

Bearwood primary school, Sindlesham, - closed at 11am.

Binfield primary school, Binfield - closing at 12.30pm.

Brakenhale school, Bracknell - closed at 11am (OPEN FOR EXAMS).

College Hall school, off Old Wokingham Road.

College Town Infant and Junior school, Bracknell - closing at 1pm

The Coombes primary school, Arborfield - closing at 1pm.

Crown Wood, Bracknell - closing at 1pm.

Crowthorne primary school - closing at 1pm.

Easthampstead Park community school, Easthampstead - closing at 12.30pm (OPEN FOR EXAMS)

Edgbarrow school - closed at 10.30am.

Emmbrook infant school, Wokingham.

Emmbrook junior school, Wokingham - closed at 8.45am.

Emmbrook school, Wokingham - closing at 1pm.

Finchampstead primary school - closed at midday.

Forest School, Winnersh - closing at 1.30pm.

Foundry College, Wokingham.

Fox Hill primary school, Bracknell - children can be collected at 1pm if parents choose.

Gorse Ride Infant & Nursery school and Gorse Ride school, Finchampstead - closing at 1pm.

Great Hollands Primary, Bracknell - closing at 1.30 pm.

Harmans Water primary and pre-school, Bracknell - closing at 1pm.

Holly Spring juniors, Bracknell - closing at 1pm.

Holt School, Wokingham, - closing at 12.30pm (OPEN FOR EXAMS).

Jennett's Park primary school, Bracknell - closing at 1pm.

Keep Hatch primary - closed at midday.

Kennel Lane school, Bracknell - closed at 11am

Meadow Vale primary school, Bracknell - closed at midday.

The Pines school, Bracknell - closing at 1.30pm.

Sandy Lane Primary, Bracknell.

St Crispin's, Wokingham - closed at 11am (OPEN FOR EXAMS)

St Michael's primary school, Sandhurst - closing at 1pm.

St Nicholas primary, Hurst - closed at midday.

St Teresa's primary school, Wokingham - closing at 3.15pm but parents can collect children at any time.

Walter infant school, Wokingham - closing at 1pm.

Wescott Infant School, Wokingham - closed at midday.

Westende infant school, Wokingham - closed at midday.

Whitegrove primary school, Bracknell - closing at 1.15pm.

Wildridings primary school, Bracknell - closing at 1pm.

Winnersh primary school, Winnersh - closed at 11am.

Coral Reef, Bracknell, will be closing at 2.30pm.

The coffee shop at the Look Out discovery centre is closed.

Both the main course and pitch and putt at Downshire golf course, Easthampstead, are closed.

All Bracknell Forest Council children centres are closed - if you have a health appointment please contact the centre.

Bracknell Forest libraries will be shut from 1pm.

Bracknell Open Learning Centre will close at 4pm today and will not open on Saturday or Sunday .

Bracknell leisure centre will close at 4pm.

Wokingham music club has cancelled this evening's open mic night.

Wokingham Town Council offices are now closed and the information will be shut tomorrow. Call 0118 978 3185 for town council contacts.

All Bracknell Town Council-owned sports pitches will be closed this weekend.

Racing at Ascot tomorrow has been abandoned.

Easthampstead Park Conference Centre will be closed until 7am on Monday (January 21).

South West Trains is also operating an alternative timetable, and there are no trains running between Ascot and Ash Vale. For up-to-the-minute information, visit http://www.southwesttrains.co.uk/alerts.aspx?South%20West%20Trains
