Dani's one step from the final of Strictly
THE proud mum of Strictly Come Dancing semi-finalist Dani Harmer has said she is "over the moon" with her daughter's success.
Jill Harmer, from Crown Wood, was in the audience as Dani dazzled the judges with a stunning performance which brought her one step away from the final of the hit BBC show.
The Easthampstead actress, known for her title role in CBBC's The Story of Tracy Beaker, danced a fusion of the Charleston and quickstep and scored 38 out of 40 - including her first 10s of the series.
Ecstatic mum Jill said: "When Darcey [judge Darcey Bussell,] put up the 10 I screamed so hard I gave myself a head rush. It was absolutely fantastic.
"I'm so proud of her and none of us anticipated her getting this far. She's a really hard worker with an ability to focus on the job in hand.
"She wanted to do this show for so many years and I've not seen her as happy as this since she got the Tracey Beaker role. She's always loved dancing and she loves the challenge. "
