TWO motor bikers smashed a shop window and grabbed a booty of jewellery in a daylight Ascot raid.

The offenders pulled outside Ascot Goldsmiths, in Course Road, around 11.20am, and forced their way through the glass before stealing a "significant amount" of jewellery - such as rings, gold chains, a diamond pendant and Rolex watches.

Det Con Teranjeet Finn, from Maidenhead CID, said: "I am keen to hear from anyone who was in the area who has not yet spoken to police or anyone who saw people acting suspiciously before the incident.

"I would also be keen to hear from anyone who has been offered any suspiciously cheap jewellery." Anyone with any information should contact Det Con Finn via 101 or, to remain anonymous, call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
