The event will take place from 2pm to 8pm and during the day Santa will be bringing his reindeer and the elves to the grounds of the hotel - which will no doubt be a huge source of excitement for the little ones.

With more than 30 stalls displaying gift ideas - from fashion and gourmet specialities to items for the home, such as candles and kitchen gadgets - there is something for everyone. Gary Wilkes from Moss End Farm Shop has a stunning range of cheese and deli items, including chutney, balsamic and flavoured vinegar and oils, all beautifully presented to make tasty presents.

In addition, the Berystede event has sourced a range of beauty-themed specialists providing nail and body products and information on treatments.

Joy from Ascot's CoCo Boutique will be bringing the winter collection and Debbie from Wolff Jones Fashion House will be presenting a scintillating selection which also includes accessories. Look out for evening wear by Avida Windsor - with half-price savings.

Alongside the beautiful clothes there will be handbags and other accessories.

Choosing a Christmas present couldn't be easier with Christmas toys, perfumed soap, a portrait photographer and vintage jewellery.

There will also be the opportunity to taste mulled wine and mince pies.

The Bearwood College Christmas market takes place on Saturday December 1 from 12.30 to 4pm. The event supports Air Ambulance Berks, Oxon and Bucks and other charities. There will be lots of stalls, food, chocolate, cards, demonstrations and a prize raffle as well as refreshments. At 6pm Tony Berkeley will give an update on the St Francis Church roof appeal on behalf of Rev Father Tom Taaffe.

As the day progresses into the evening, the business community is invited to stop en route from the office to have a browse, buy a few presents and perhaps have a drink at the bar and a chat. Could there possibly be any better way to get in gear for Christmas?
