THIEVES who targeted a farm during a night of mischief stole a dark green Land Rover.

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses after the offenders targeted Matthews Green farm in Matthews Green Road, Wokingham, in the early hours of Sunday November 4.

The offenders broke into and ransacked a caravan without stealing anything before they damaged a further two caravans and stole a metal jack.

They then stole the vehicle, registration number D552 BJF, which has a tipper on the back and Gress Gardens signs on its sides.

They drove it out through the back gate across a field and onto the Twyford Road.

The thieves had earlier entered the farm via the back gate to a storage yard.

Police believe the incident is linked to a suspected arson which saw a black Land Rover discovery and Mitsubishi Shogun burnt out in a field behind the farm.

Firefighters were called to the incident at about 5.45am.

Police are appealing for anybody who has information about these incidents or saw the stolen vehicle in the area around the time of the offence to come forward.

Anyone with information should call the Thames Valley Police 24-hour non-emergency single number 101 and ask to speak to PC Paul Bentley.

If you don't want to speak directly to the police you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or online at crimestoppers-uk.org.
