Explosive party to mark historic year
CASH donations made at a fireworks extravaganza are to be given to emergency volunteers.
The Bracknell Town Mayor's charity, South East Berkshire Emergency Volunteers (SEBEV), will receive funds raised at the South Hill Park party on Sunday, October 14, in Bracknell.
The celebration marks the restoration of the arts centre's grounds, along with the Diamond Jubilee and London 2012 Oympics and Paralympics.
Town mayor Cllr Shelagh Pile said: "SEBEV does a fantastic job, and this is a really good opportunity to help them in return."
SEBEV provides marshalling, first aid and other services. Around 20 of the charity's volunteers will be on duty at the event.
Entry is free from 5pm. The display by Star Fireworks starts at 6.30pm.
