STRICTLY Come Dancing has waltzed into Bracknell with contestant Dani Harmer choosing South Hill Park as the place to master her moves.

The Easthampstead actress was practising her ballroom steps in one of the Birch Hill art centre's rehearsal rooms last week with dance partner Vincent Simone - ready for the first stage of the hit BBC competition next month.

Speaking exclusively to The News in between filming for the show, Miss Harmer said: "It's going really well, it's just the first week of training.

"Everything's difficult at the moment, I've never done ballroom so it's a massive learning curve, but I've got a good teacher.

"I'm really nervous about it and I'm only going to get more nervous, especially when I have to perform."

The 23-year-old - best known for playing the title role in CBBC show The Story of Tracy Beaker - has been enjoying being able to walk to her regular South Hill Park rehearsals and spending some time at her Easthampstead home - which she does not often get to do when she is working.

To read more about Dani's favourite dance moves and her "man flu" pick up a copy of the Bracknell News, out now.
