Play park open despite road closure

LOCKS Ride play park is still open despite a road closure, but visitors may have to follow a diversion to get there.
South East Water has closed Locks Ride near the junction with Chavey Down Road for about 10 metres heading towards Forest Road, while it carries out repairs to a water pipe.
Visitors to the play park can still access it from Forest Road by car but their journey may be longer to avoid the road block. The footpaths in Locks Ride are still open.
The road will be closed to through traffic until the end of August.
